Sara Carey

Trainer, Instructor

Sara is the niece of upper-level eventer Martha Lambert, and has over 20 years of experience in the equine industry. She has competed substantially in three-day eventing over the past 14 years and has worked under the tutelage of Martha for over a decade, absorbing the skills and knowledge of how to successfully train and bring young horses up through the ranks. In addition, Sara has attended clinics with top riders over the years, enabling her to expand upon her skill set for educating both horse and rider.

Sara has competed extensively at the Training and Preliminary levels. She has a strong focus on building solid partnerships between horse and rider, which has attributed to her horses receiving several top place finishes throughout the years. Sara's horses have gone on to have successful careers and, in fact, one of them has come full circle and is now a lesson horse in Silver Ridge’s program!

Prior to the Eventing scene, Sara acquired knowledge in generalized riding and jumping, as well as teaching others the basics of riding and equine care. She spent several years working with young horses of all different breeds and disciplines.

Sara's passion lies in training the young horse and understanding their unique personalities and needs. She specializes in teaching riders of all skill levels and loves meeting new faces – both human and equine!

*Sara will also travel to you for lessons and training (pending your farm's policies).
